Babylon Cartel x Kissed By The Rain

Our local DMV Artist, Lyricist, Producer, Philanthropist, Humanitarian and Student Angelic (Eboneé) Hayward is one who is determined to change the world with her words. She has recorded with Grammy Nominated and Billboard recipient Dmoet and have performed at numerous places, included but not limited to; The Black Family Reunion, ASSALAH convention, District of Columbia Mayor Fenty’s Youth Expo, The Apollo, The Washington Wizards Poetry Slam and even over seas. Within the Music Industry she is considered a Triple Threat; she has beauty, brains, and talent. With all three elements combined she is destined to make a mark. Her new song “I am Legend” is one of her finest.
Stepping Lasers Tour: Lupe Fiasco & B.O.B. @ 9:30 Club in DC

N*E*R*D | Temple University 2010 Spring Fling
Tuesday, April 13th, was Temple University‘s Spring Fling concert featuring N*E*R*D and Girl Talk. The Right Coast was the opening act for the featured artists. Check out exclusive pictures taken front row at the concert.
Chester French Performs at Carnegie Mellon University
Last Thursday, the indie band Chester French graced the stages of Carnegie Mellon University to perform a very personal set of some of their latest hits. Without their band, the duo performed some of their most popular songs including “Jimmy Choos,” “Not Over You,” “She Loves Everybody,” and “Bebe Buell.” During the concert, they took out about 15 minutes to accept questions (and even mixtapes) from the audience. It was definitely a concert for those who truly appreciate great, acoustic music. Afterwords, they stayed a bit and chilled with some of the Carnegie Mellon students, including yours truly. D.A (lead singer) notified me that a new album will be coming out in the upcoming months. Stayed tuned and enjoy the pictures from the concert!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day
We, here at spoiledBROKE! would like to pay homage to one of the greatest civil rights leaders and activists of our the past century: Dr. Martin Luther Kings Jr. It was through him that things such as diversity and education and self-pride within the African American community has spawned. He has moved so many people-no matter what creed, religion or race-and will be forever remembered for the peaceful yet powerful acts he has performed so that equality would become not just a norm but the standard in which we all should base our lives and the way we treat others. Dr. King once said “A man can’t ride your back unless it’s bent.” Surely, Dr. King did that for us and it is for that, that we say thank you to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. for all he has done and is still doing today. We are honored.

Clipse Concert | University of Pennsylvania
As you all know, I attend Temple University, but I hit up UPenn last night for the Clipse concert. The additional performers were Hoodie Allen, Big Sean, & Mike Posner. I really enjoyed Big Sean, good to see him perform as I am aware of him previously performing alongside Wale and Drake (so I knew he had to be good). Anyway, sB! got some exclusive pics and video from the concert so ENJOY!

Manny Majors | The Cool Kids @ Carnegie Mellon
How often do you get a well-known celebrity to perform at your college? Not too often right? Well, CMU had its lucky day when the Cool Kids came to perform. It wasn’t homecoming. It was not a charity event. It was just a concert… and they surely did deliver. While they may not have been the main act (they were openers for Aesop Rock), they were definitely the only artists I had intended on seeing.
